Happy Fry-Day

French fries are an American classic and there’s no denying that they’ve become a delicious staple alongside many of our favorite dishes!

So here’s the good and the bad news…

The bad - French fries are typically deep fried and high in sodium. While that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy them, they are a food we want to be having in moderation.

The good - There are so many healthier fry alternatives, and I’ve rounded up my favorites!

So let’s get started!

I wasn’t always a fan of green beans but dang are these good! Baked to perfection, these green bean fries make for a delicious & healthy summer side! Check out the recipe here.

These carrot fries won’t disappoint! Add them to the broiler once done baking for an extra crispy texture and don’t forget to give them a dip in the delicious yogurt chive sauce. You can find the recipe here.

Never heard of a jicama? Not only is it high in fiber, but it also contains both vitamin C and potassium! This low calorie, low carb recipe is not one to be missed! Check it out here.

Hello summer, hello zucchini season! With their crispy, Parmesan- and Panko-crusted outsides and tender insides, this recipe is proof that a stand-alone vegetable can be legitimately delicious in its own right. Click here for the recipe.

Turnip fries are one of my personal favorites. Crispy, delicious and full of flavor! Try this recipe in the oven, or use an air fryer! Check out the recipe here.

And last, but not least…avocado fries! This twist on the classic is full of healthy fats and only contains 5 - ingredients! Click here for the recipe.

So there you have it, six delicious fry options! Now it’s time to get cooking!

Enjoy!
